with

David Barrett (diatonic harp)
Joe Filisko (diatonic harp)
Eric Noden (guitar)
Tollak Ollestad (jazz chromatic)

In 2010 the town of Trossingen will once again host the popular Harmonica Masters Workshops. Initiated by Steve Baker in 2003 in cooperation with the town cultural office and sponsored by Hohner, this truly international event offers students the chance to study the instrument under the guidance of some of its finest contemporary practitioners. Combining classes, instructors' concerts and evening sessions, the Harmonica Masters Workshops offer a great learning experience for intermediate to advanced players in freshly renovated rooms on the new campus situated on the former Hohner factory site in the heart of Trossingen. Budget priced on-site accomodation will be available this year for the first time.

As well as diatonic harmonica classes with Steve Baker, David Barrett and Joe Filisko, and an acoustic blues guitar class with Joe's duo partner Eric Noden, the HMW 2010 will for the first time offer a jazz chromatic class with Tollak Ollestad. Session accompaniment on all four nights will be provided by Eric and pianist Chris Rannenberg. Joe Filisko will also be running his legendary informal acoustic jam after the on-stage sessions finish. Friday and Saturday evenings will feature two double billing instructors concerts with top professional accompaniment, followed by sessions.
