This CD is the first that Abi, Steve and Martin recorded under the name BluesCulture, the line-up in which they have been performing since 2002, and finally captures their exciting ensemble playing on record. "Blues Culture" offers a new take on the blues, a boldly minimalist synthesis of archaic and modern forms which integrates elements from rock, soul and roots music. Their music is a refreshing and unconventional fusion which lives from the dynamic interplay between the musicians and allows them to shine both as soloists and as ensemble players. The collective experience gathered through their countless live performances over the last several years can be heard clearly here.
